For planning, please keep in mind that Seoul is 17 hrs ahead of PST (and you'll likely lose a day traveling from the US to Korea).

Welcome Party

Saturday, May 16, 2026
5:00 PM–7:00 PM
Attire: Smart Casual
The welcome event will be held at the Irum Lounge in the Centennial Memorial Hall at the University of Seoul. Join us for a relaxed happy hour with drinks, hors d’oeuvres, and plenty of mingling across the indoor and outdoor lounge spaces. This campus holds many of Irene’s childhood memories (from biking around to frequent snack runs while her dad taught here for many years) so we’re excited to kick off the weekend somewhere close to home and share it with all of you.

Wedding (Ceremony + Lunch)

May 17, 2026
12:30 PM–3:00 PM
Bank of Korea (Wedding Reception Hall)
South Korea, Seoul, Jung District, Namdaemun-ro, 39, Seoul, Korean
Attire: Formal attire (e.g., suit and tie). In respect of Korean cultural norms, we ask that attire be modest and not overly revealing.
FAMILY MEMBERS SHOULD ARRIVE BY 11AM FOR PHOTOS. Please arrive early, as the wedding ceremony will begin promptly at 1PM. Late arrivals may not be permitted entry due to security. Fun fact: The Bank of Korea is Korea’s central bank (similar to the Federal Reserve). Our venue is located on the second floor (conference hall) above its main facilities, including national currency reserves, so security measures will be in place (2 security gates, in fact). If you have time to explore after the ceremony, be sure to check out the Bank of Korea Money Museum next door!

Club Mirene (After Party!)

Sunday, May 17, 2026
6:30 PM–12:00 AM
Saeseoul (Bar in Jongno)
South Korea, Seoul, Jongno District, Donhwamun-ro 11-gil, 28-5 3-5F, Seoul, South Korea
Attire: Smart Casual
This venue is a speakeasy-style rooftop bar with both indoor and outdoor spaces. Guests will pass through floors of neon arcades and hidden doors before arriving at Saeseoul on the third floor, where staff will guide you to the fourth and fifth floor event spaces.

Notes on Attire

We’ve included this additional guidance as we’ve received a few questions on dress code. We found the following criteria to be well aligned with local norms in Seoul, where style tends to be polished and intentional.

Recommend:

* Korean guests tend to prefer polished, put-together attire in neutral or understated colors

* Outfits that are not overly revealing (e.g., no shorts for men; avoid overly low-cut tops)

Please avoid:

* Overly casual outfits (e.g., flip-flops, athletic wear, t-shirts, jeans)

Please refer to this guide for additional event details and directions.
